Looking to make this into a three-screen phone wallpaper, with this image being the center home screen and having a screen off the the left and right. I'm just not sure what I should do to it.
I tried increasing the width on each side and context filling, and it looks alright, a horrifying mess of hands and flesh, but it doesn't looked polished.
Anyone have any ideas?

I've been using photoshop now for several years now so I know most stuff but making renders is mostly just having patience and not going to fast ( I always use pen tool ). And I wish I could've redrawn it myself but I don't have the tools and exp. to do those kind of requests.

Other anon here. Making hair ends good is a pain in the ass so that's something he really can't change. I would rather point out that the render of hair is all choppy and not smooth.
I'll probably continue the render but start from 0 so that might take a while.

This is my version with the pen tool so you can see for yourself which one is better.
Well at least you didn't use the lasso tool so that's a beginning. But the problem with the magic wand is that you can't make the selection curves yourself or that it won't select all the pixels...
e.g. you can see a layer of white pixels around your render or it won't select a sharp corner fairly well. (And you forgot several spots to select).
I always use the pen tool cs it gives you better results yes it takes longer but when you get used to it you can do renders fairly quick.

This is what it looks like on top of a black background, wells theres flaws everywhere, you missed some parts and the more white colored pixels stand out a lot throughout the whole image. Maybe this render is too hard to do as when I tried it, it never statisfied me

Well I did some trimming but if I trim even more you will get your choppy curves (you already have them in your hair in some places) so this will be my final attempt...

I think they have 2 names based on their gelbooru tag being "piiko_(aa_doushiyou)". The name is ぴーこ on pixiv which seems to translate to piiko so it's probably right. Here's their pixiv by the way:

Vector programs and pixel-editors are designed to do different things.
Personally, I think vectors are easier to work with once you understand Bezier curves.
Shapes can be altered, resized, and reshaped in ways which would be a pain in PS.

Yeah, my biggest problem with Illustrator is I don't really understand how to work my way around paths. It's just so easy in Photoshop, and you have the Paths section in the Layer window.
But goddamn does the lineart look like fucking shit when you use the stroke function in Photoshop. To avoid this I would just use vector shapes and literally do a shape of every single line and make it thicker or thinner as I pleased.
But I hear Illustrator is better and can do that shit easier with just paths so I wanna learn it.

You have the same handles.
Nodes can be smooth or cusped.
But the paths always remain smooth and sharp.
They don't get stroked into blobs of pixels attempting to approximate the curve,
Check out a library book, practice a little, and ask questions of a vector thread if you get stuck.
