We used to use Widget Locker (the goat lockscreen ricing app, may it RIP). For now you would have to use an xposed module. I have no idea what it's called since I can't root (cucked by Samsung). Definitely check the links in the OP for more information (if there is any) and if there are any questions you can ask here or in the IRC chan (also listed in the OP).

Do I have to use their wallpapers? I can't deal with not having anime girls/traps on everything but I'm very interested in it changing every day.

I have several issues with UCCW that I can't seem to fix no matter what I try.

The clock in the top left of pic related updates every 3 minutes or so rather than showing the actual time, making me pull down my notifications bar to see the actual time if I ever need it. Also, the weather condition constantly displays as "clear", despite the conditions right now being extremely rainy. The CPU Usage, the RAM usage and battery also behave in a similar way to the clock, only updating every 3 or so minutes.

I thought initially that keeping UCCW open in the background would fix the issues but that didn't help at all. It sounds like an issue where the widgets only update at a set rate but that rate isn't able to be changed to something more suitable. I tried disabling app optimisation in battery settings but that didn't help either.

I'm using a Galaxy S5 with Nova Launcher if that helps narrow down any potential fixes, any help?

Was wondering if you guys could offer any tricks to make this work as a scrollable wallpaper with it being the center screen, and having a screen off to the left and right. I tried widening it and doing some autofill fuckery to make it wider but autofill isn't exactly a miracle tool and it looks okay at best.

I liked the one with the boat too but wiped my phone and turns out that even after windows said it fully backed up my things it didn't and files where corrupted (saved all my anime memes too)

Saw some anon with a setup that I liked but he had an iPhone so decided to recreate it in klwp
The one at the top right represent the signal(max is four), but couldn't get it show wifi levels with an icon so I just used wifi off(see pic) wifi on (looks like wifi with full bars) and wifi on but not connected (wifi with a little lock)

This should be pretty easy. Just make a radial gradient under the fx tab and then use the WiFi coverage in percentage to fill it up depending on the signal.

How's this? New to phone ricing but I think it looks ok with the exception of the gap under the weather status.

idk about Nova vs Apex as I've only used the former and been very pleased with it, but KLWP is an app that allows you to make a custom live wallpaper, and is the basis for a lot of what you see here. Go fiddle with it for an hour or two, there's even links to tutorials right within the app if you need them.

I've been messing around for hours with this shit and I can't seem to make myself a decent music handler. I've gone through a million tutorials and can't get it to work. The play/pause, forward, and back all work but I can't for the life of me get the track name/artist to show up. I'm using Zooper Pro, I got the media utilities to work. I'm doing the #TMU_TRACK# shit. It's giving me the --- which according to media utilities means that's it not receiving any info on the song.

Am I retarded or am I using incompatible stuff or what.

If you're determined to use zooper, use it with Lighting launcher and UCCW. Can't remember if I had that problem or not.

Are you setting the icons by applying it through the icon pack? Because in Nova Launcher, if you press and hold the icon, there is the option to edit, then click on the icon, follow it through to the icon pack then search through the icons to find a good one and select that. If that's the Zwart icon pack you're using, I'd assume that it has the same icons as the same dev's Whiticons pack, which has a nice icon for Clover. Go find that one and apply it. If not, you can make an icon on your computer, drop it in a folder on your phone and apply it through Nova as mentioned before - just choose gallery instead of an icon pack.

4 temperatures, 2 weather conditions and 2 windspeeds... wat? That top bar is just a bunch of stuff thrown at the screen right now. You need to style the individual elements if you want something other than a paragraph is statistics.

Don't have stats if you don't need them, unless you're going for a super techy look, which it appears you aren't. ie: do you really need to know CPU usage and RAM? Because those occupying that space could be preventing you from styling another element well.

the clock from the first one was cool with the circular dial though the grey isn't very readable against the blue sky. maybe use a shape with a bg blur/slight dim. the centre of that first clock is better than the other 2 though, because the widths are more balanced. ie: the text above and below the time are similar widths.
experiment with setting widths on elements to make them fit in with other elements in the group - though not necessarily making them all the same width.

I'm back! I found a way to insert KWGT widgets into my lockscreen, so I made a small test case.

The dark text on the dark grey background for the folder/app drawer is kinda hard to read, I'd change it to white. Otherwise this is pretty cute, I can't really think of anything major that stands out to me.

I would desaturate the girl just a tad, the reds stand out way too much against that wall. The music text is nigh impossible to read as well, and your spacing between the flock and girl's box and the girl's box and the music is kinda uneven. Icons could also be improved (both in spacing/position and the style itself).

I've always hated that font and icon set, but otherwise this is pretty damn nice. I'd consider adding a slightly opaque black overlay/multiply layer to the city bg, so that the icons and text stand out a little bit more, but that's a judgement call for you to make.

The wall is gorgeous but the icons are very difficult to make out, as well as the clock/date block (which is a clusterfuck, don't use so many different fonts in the same block like that). Depends completly of what you're doing with your phone. For example, there's no problem with klwp 'cause it's just a live wallpaper. But if you are involving root and xposed, there might be some problem if you don't know what you are doing. And i think that rooting breaks the warranty of the phone. It's up to you.

Like the other anon said, fix the color and size consistency. If you aren't already using a launcher like Nova or something similar, switch so that you can change the dock icons to something that matches the others better.

The bars look a bit too dark to me. I don't really know what would work best since all the colors in the render are very similar. Maybe consider changing to something with more contrasting colors so you have a larger pool of complementary colors.


It's still better than before though. Just keep playing with it. You'll figure out what works best with practice.

Question for you all: is it just me or does it take longer to launch an app via a KLWP touch event than through the launcher? I'd like to use text instead of icons but the delay is really annoying. I was thinking about placing text under a completely transparent icon but would like to know if anyone else is experiencing this bug first, and if there's a way to mitigate it.

Yeah, I loved tiny white icon pack but it's been years since it updated; so newer icons would still be in color.

Took me a while, but I found a newer icon pack I liked. Also adjusted Imca to be lower to fit a larger clock.
