Post whatever you want edition
>>1924458
By the way, do you have an up to date mac ricing guide?
>>1924453
it is tho.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
hello here is my desktop
>>1924463
That's a nice desktop.
Here is my read desktop.
>>1924463

that's a big tower
⬅ my wallpaper
I need to sleep. Also, my ram usage is doing crazy things since reinstalling Arch.
>>1924464
>>1924466
thanks you guys are cute
Hi desktop thread.
>>1924470
How do you do have your visualizer with ncmpcpp in the same window?
>>1924471
tmux
>>1924474
Not that anon but how do you get that visualization on ncmpcpp? It seems that I only have the default ones, and how do you preview images on ranger? I want to know ;-;
>>1924475
I believe that visualizer is cava.
>>1924475
the visualisation is a program called cava, it only looks like one program because I use tmux to show them both in one terminal.
For image previews install w3m and activate it in the ranger config. Only works on some terminal emulators though (I use urxvt). Also you musn't have transparency enabled in your terminal.
>>1924475
ncmpcpp also has built in window splitting if u look in the list of keybinds
>>1924478
Yeah but you can only use ncmpcpp's visualizers and can also only split horizontally.
>>1924479
cava looks stoopid anyway
>>1924468
Is one of your programs memory leaking?
>>1924482
It's either firefox or mpd, but I'm not sure what to do about it.
>>1924483
Install an older version, probably. I got annoyed when I used to use arch due to the amount of broken/badly tested programs that somehow make it into the repo.
>>1924484
How long have you been using linux?
>>1924486
for like 5 o 6 months, so I'm still pretty new.
By the way, while trying to hide the "input" part in the css, it also hides the button to post i the QR window.
Does anybody have a fix for this?
>>1924488
Get the class of the button you don't want to hide with the inspector and use input:not([.class]) {display: none !important;}
>>1924490
got my syntax wrong, don't use square brackets at all
>>1924487
use "ls -lha" in a folder to display the permissions and owner of files and directories in your current folder.
You can use "chown username file" to set the owner of a file and "chmod permissions file" to change the permissions. Use su, sudo or similar to run something as another user/root. (To set permissions you obviously need permissions for the file in the first place, that's why you have to do it as root/the owner of the file)
>>1924346
pretty thanks anon
>>1924363
Aero glass + Aero Blur Tweaker
>>1924491
I think I phrased it wrong.
I want to unhide the elements of name, qrFile, and submit.
As you can see, this shit isn't quite right.
>>1924494
What are you doing that makes them disappear? Post the code block.
>>1924495
/* hide */
#boardNavDesktop, .boardBanner, .center, .globalMessage, #blotter, hr, #togglePostFormLink, .navLinks, #ctrl, #absbot, #boardNavDesktopFoot, #styleSwitcher, #ctrl-top, .bottomCtrl, .sideArrows, .dateTime, input
{
display: none !important;
}
I suck at this. Advice?
>>1924497
darken your window decoration or lighten your terminal colours I think
>>1924496
remove the input
>>1924492
Thanks, I enabled the previews now, but it seems that only .png files work fine, and .jpg/.jpeg files seem fucked, is it because the terminal I'm using?
(I'm using the gnome terminal by the way)
>>1924496
Yeah so, if input is hiding stuff you don't want to hide, you use css selectors to mitigate that
if you only want to hide the input element of a certain class, or child of a certain class, you'd write
.classiwantgone input { whatever }
If you wanted to target something specifically of a value, like the submit button
input[value='Submit'] { whatever }
>>1924500
Gnome-terminal probably has transparency activated and just set to 0% see-through. See if you can deactivate it completely. If it doesn't work you may have to switch to a different terminal emulator.
yo
>>1924500
Can i get your wallpaper?
>>1924510
sure
>>1924514
Updated, fixed it with
input:not(quickReply)
{
display: block !important;
}
The only problem that now arises is that checkbox.
But if you try to hide it, it hides all the posting options. I can live with that tho. Probably a site requirement for posters.
>>1924516
to hide the checkbox in post info:
.postInfo input[type="checkbox"] {
display: none !important;
}

I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, but you are clinically retarded.
bantz aside, the only way it could be /g/ is if everyone talked about what went into their autismtops in-depth.
Problems:
>We have nanami-tan
>We have ricing.co.nf
>We have installgentoo
>We have IRC
>We have gits, pastebins, and deviantart pages
>Threads are 70% hacking together other people's CSS / straight copying
>We have tried it before, threads still autosage, mods still say no
We should be grateful that we're even allowed to be here on /w/
Don't get me wrong, I wish we could be back on /g/ but you're fooling yourself if you ever thought they were tangentially /g/ related aside from purely being /g/ culture.
Maybe, just maybe, mods would let us back if we could contain our autism and keep shitposting to a minimum but I'd sooner place my bets on Moot coming back.

Hey /w/
I kind of have a selfish request to ask of you guys.
So I recently got a new visual style (Clean VS) and wanted to use it but when I set my taskbar to display small icons, the date does not hide itself as it should. To my understanding this is most likely built into the visual style and I was wondering if somebody could quickly edit the damn thing for me so that it only displays the time on the taskbar.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Yikes, that's really dumb.
Sure it's not the VS? The font looks too small, rendering won't fix that.
And other anon was looking to only show the time, not hide it completely.
>>1924954
You're probably right on font size.
I installed mactype and used the Mac.LCD.HotShift@XHei(iOS^MacOS) profile. Firefox looks a lot better now but explorer still looks off.
I think it might be because I'm using the registry to replace the VS' normal font (haxrcorp) with MonteCarlo.
I suppose now would be the time for me to learn how to use the style builder and also tweak mactype.
>>1924908
i think if you change your date format to something somewhat long, it'll hide it from the taskbar
moo
>>1924959
she has a nice qt butt
>>1924956
That would be it, the VS probably has Haxrcorp set to 8px and so Montecarlo is being forced to that size, don't use the registry to change the font just use Style Builder, the fonts everywhere else look great tho.
>>1924961
Glad to hear it. Every time I have shared my desktop in the past it's always been
