Get a better font and less mismatching icons, the colors clash too much with everything in my opinion. The text also is weirdly aligned (in my opinion having the text bottom aligned looks better than top aligned). Cute Miku though.

It's a really lovely theme. Maybe use some warmer colors for the more desaturated stuff (the grey, the white) but that's kinda nitpicking. I tried shooping it to have a darker/richer background instead of the grey but it could really go either way.

At the minute you can't have a gif wallpaper with KLWP. Gif wallpapers rely on using a different live wallpaper app (there are several, I recommend https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sublimis.bouncy)

What I did was used Foldersync to a file in my Google Drive account with my local text file/to-do list, and then had Tasker read the local file and store each line to its own variable (such as todo1, todo2, etc. for each line). I was thinking of using something similar to your's but this is a lot faster/easier for me than fiddling with SQL.

Sure. I’m not very strong in picking colors so these are just general guidelines rather than strict palettes.This theme truly could go either way with dark or light in my opinion, so maybe a lighter/warmer grey would be nice too. You could also switch them based on time or something for a night/day rotation? Just a thought.

Just looked that up, neat, it'll turn off the pixels to produce a true black. I think I'll stick with that for my fonts as I do have an OLED screen.

Shame there's nothing I can do about the lock screen status bar without root, can't exactly root my S5 without a large amount of suffering.

Any non-shit lock screen replacers? I played around with one for about 5 minutes that let me choose a custom picture for the swipe to unlock, and place the time wherever I wanted, among other widgets, but half of it was still in Korean.

Sure, so what I did was used splatoon.ink's API which you can find here: https://splatoon.ink/schedule.json

I then just used Java to parse it and store the information I needed in variables that I could then retrieve/store in Tasker, and then send them to KLWP through Tasker. If you've got any questions feel free to ask, I know that's probably not the clearest explanation but it's certainly the most streamlined I could write up.

Untrue! You can use third-partly lockscreen apps, some of which should disable or have an option to disable the lock screen status bar, even without root. (Can confirm since I'm using an S5 a well and while using Zui Locker, I have no status bar on the lock screen.) Zui Locker, WidgetLocker (though it's now deprecated I think), etc. Loads of them, with different levels of security options. KWGT works with the lockscreen I think but I could be wrong as I've never used it. Google around, there's lots of lists and the like for this exact thing.

You have "File-01.png" and "File-02.png" in the same directory then point it at that directory and have some code to insert either a 1 or 2 at the end of the file.

Anything considered good is going to be based on general principles of design. Based on that, I can say that you have a lot of elements competing for attention. I would reduce the size of the info text so that you're using at most, two sizes of the same font. Those blocks of white space between the text are awkward, and if you made all the letter lowercase or all uppercase, you could fill those spaces with some of that information.

I would look at getting icons that are smaller IF you keep the text large. Otherwise, they're not bad. Maybe a different set, though. The icons aren't uniform in size or design.

The wallpaper is really cool, and it's what keeps me interested. I think knocking the size down of everything else is a good idea.

Nice wall, seems absolutely barren though. I'd personally get rid of the status bar but that's just me. I'd definitely get rid of the gradients on the top and bottom and aim for colors that are not so dead and dry. You can get a nice "white" by using an off-white like the wall in the wall (hah), a nice "black" by using the dark grey in her skirt, etc. No need to use stark white, grey, and black. Personally I think this is one case where the cute and colorful icons don't detract from the rice, but maybe a monochromatic one would work better, the one you picked seems OK (I'd personally make the white the same light purple you picked for the balloon though). First you make a text box for whatever you need, set fixed font height and choose some height to make it look nice when text is short.
Then you set fixed width and choose some width to make it looks nice when text is long.

Where STR is formula to get the text you want and X is the number of characters that exceeded will change text layout to fixed width. Is depends on font, container proportions and type of characters you are using(ASCI or CJK)

Both colors work, I think, this feels slightly more cohesive. I'd again suggest using an off-white (like the pins in her hair) rather than the stark white you're using now (#ffffff). Try using the clock padding option (so if you're using KLWP, hh instead of just h) so that 4:00 becomes 04:00, see if that helps. I'd also resize the text to be a tad smaller.

Stuff like not using #000000 and #ffffff (unless going for super stark design) is more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules. I'd urge you to look up some design tutorials or theory, not even anything in-depth but just some basic write-ups. It can really help. The clustered time and date looks weird, especially with the am being in front of the time, and the temperature just sort of sticks out awkwardly. Also, your icons are a bit small as well. You may also want to hide the page indicator, since you only have two pages anyway. If you can, enable infinite scrolling too.

Nova Launcher. I make gesture down = go to page 2, gesture up goto page 1. The wallpaper provides the vertical motion, and the apps use a fade out transition so you can't really see that I'm scrolling horizontal.

So, pic related is my desktop. I used Nova + Zooper widget, but I really want to dig into KLWP, but on opening the app it just told me that my galaxy nexus doesn't support KLWP. I told myself it must be thanks to the old android (4.3) so, the question I wanna ask is, if I get my nexus on better android, will KLWP work?

Yes, that's what I have right now. The top bar on the middle screen slides out and shows the latest dismissable notification. It slides back up when there are no notifications.

Can someone explain me how can I achieve working animations after bg scrolling? I'm using nova launcher right now and it do not want to work so I'm using fucking buttons when I should have icons right there.
I've got huawei p8lite and on stock launcher it works but it's fucking ugly and lacks of personalization options.

Anyone got any tips on how to integrate onscreen buttons? So far the only ways I've found to deal with them are temporarily hiding them or a solid bar along the top and bottom of the screen but that really limits your options on the rest of the screen and it's starting to get boring.
