Alright, well your url/tab bar in firefox is very cluttered. Things feel like they are on top of each other. There needs to be more distinction between the tabs. This also applies to the url. It blends into the tabs and makes the bar look even more cluttered. I would reccomend splitting them into two bars, or adding some kind of distunguishing feature.
The home page is interesting, but the font used on it is not super clean, and the button next to google is hideous. The clock isn't bad, but it also doesn't really match the style of anything else.
Your filemanager icons are really archaic, which would be fine if the rest of your desktop was trying to be old school, but as is the don't really fit.
Transparent terminals (and windows in general) are a personal preference, but they are hard to pull of well. You should hide all the conky, because you don't want that showing through windows. It makes for a chaotic look.
As a whole your colours are pretty generic and bad. They could be improved upon greatly. Finding some kind of unifying theme would also help, both for unifying what already exists, but also to give you an indication of how to improve it.

To me, bbinterface is actually quite similar to rainmeter; except it has the bonus of context menus to aid you. Ctrl+right mouse should really tell you all you need to know (other than documentation).

Basically, you create your own .png images, or you can even style frames/buttons differently. Frames and buttons can be styled to match other elements in your bblean style.

Well, it's both sorting and styling, I guess. I like my library to be organized by Album Artist / Album, which is possible, but cmus does it better and lets me hide the dates for albums.

Cmus also uses vim bindings natively and is really easy to search, but it's not quite as pretty as ncmpcpp is.

If you like KDE go ahead and use it.
They both require a bit of config to be usable. I haven't tried awesome but open box wasn't too bad. If you use someone elses open box theme its pretty easy. Just remember to check here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/List_of_applications

The theme I made myself on terminal.sexy, it's then just added to your .Xresources file in your home folder. I don't exactly have a "theme" installed so to say, but I'm using the window manager called i3 and I have it customized with i3blocks, which is MUCH easier to customize than i3status, you just have to change i3's config to target i3blocks instead of i3status (change 1 word in the config).

The terminal I'm using, like pretty much everyone, is RXVT-Unicode or urxvt. It's easy to customize. Also I should mention to that the colouring of my bar is done through the i3 config, but again it's just simple hex colour codes.

I prefer i3 over Openbox, but I used Openbox for about 3 months and greatly prefer i3 over it but it really comes down to preference.

In my experience, the titlebar/caption size is dependent on font size and the caption button sizes. There are different dpi glyphs per size. Is Windows 10 really that different?

Yes and no, you can resize them but the smallest they can get using StyleBuilder is around my last screenshot, but you can make them a bit smaller in display settings.

Check to see if you have a previous version of UxStyle or UltraXThemePatcher installed, that could be the problem.

You really need to neutralize the colouring more. It's not a bad scheme but right now everything sort of looks "the same". So my advice would be change your terminal colours to be more neutral from the wallpaper. The bar is looking decent but could use some work, it might look better though with different terminal colours, since again it just looks too much like everything else.

Also I'm assuming its the image compression thats making the font rendering look terrible, but if not you should definitely install rxvt-patched to fix that. https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/rxvt-unicode-patched/

bbstylemaker will create the style for you.

or you can use the menu to edit>current style and modify the hex within the style directly.

Theres also the bbmagnify plugin, which works like colorcop to show you the hex color your cursor is over on your screen.

I think yours might be a bit too bluish. And the only reason I say that was because I used to have a bluish grey as well and it just didn't look right. It might just be the color of your wallpaper thats making it look off though.
