I'm fine with the ending, pretty sure it was the only way to end the series.

I did not want to watch them kiss or do it that would have changed the dynamic of the relationship and the show was about first love and innocence and while seeing them grow up and take things further could have been interesting it would have been against the theme of the show.

But what do I know, I'm just a huge fanboy that likes drool.

Never saw the Anime but read the Manga. was disappointed with the ending. I guess I wanted more closure than the author wanted to give.

I found it interesting, with the retro animation style for the anime series. The spit-thing was a little gross, but I still enjoyed watching this.
