4.5mm security bit

tried it already. it doesn't work. look at the screws again. it's different from the typical gamebit screws.
I love how they made all those "security screws" so nobody can get in them, but now you can literally buy a kit with 50 different bits for 3 bucks that can open any screw

I'd imagine it was harder to get one of those kits before the internet, unless you have a really big hardware store nearby. You'd probably have to order it from a catalog.

I can't say that I've ever come across that one. If you don't have to many carts like that to open you could try the Bic pen method. For the uninitiated, you take the empty shell of a clear Bic pen, make the tip slightly melty with a lighter, then place slightly melty pen on security bit and let it harden, finally twist pen to unscrew.

security torx
I hate this shit. I have had to buy all kinds of special bits just to work on all the crap i have. From electronics to yard equipment.
I beleive there was a state in the US that was trying to ban crap like this. Some kind of right to work on your own shit bill. Sadly nothing like that would ever pass.
the video game market really need a book for standards of practice. it looks like a generic star bit with concave in the center.

This probably costs less than whatever game you just got.
do you have a screwdriver set?
google one of these sets security-screwdriver-bit-set-103 or look for it on eBay or amazon. finally a set with all those weird screws in it. less than burger and fries from in and out
