BPS Tetris sequels sustain my interest a lot more than generic Tetris. You had Tetris 2, which is like Sega's Flash Columns, and Bombliss / Tetris Blast, which is Tetris with bombs. There was also a collection of Tetris variants for SFC called Super Tetris 3.
