Energy Breaker's sprites have weird faces but other than that it's a looker. The last year or so of the SNES's life produced some beautiful JRPGs.

Grid based SRPG with decent depth.

The basic premise is that you try to restore your memory and meet people and stuff. There's a bunch of themes centering around consciousness, science/religion and morality, but nothing preachy.

It also has some Lufia references.
