I ended up buying a box copy of Dynamite Headdy after the GCCX episode. Really nice game.

And yeah, I've beaten the whole thing in one sitting. After weeks of having to git gud at the later levels. Fuck those flying levels.

As far as I know, the US version isn't *that* much harder than the JP version. You have less health, sure, but the hardest boss in the game (Funny Angry / Twin Freaks) has 50% less health. So it kinda evens out.

I've read up on the changes between versions. The JP version has more health, slightly less health on some bosses, and starts you off with 2 continues (as well as requiring less gold to get a continue), and some minor changes to bosses.

Easier, yes, but not by a whole lot. Funny Angry having bugged double-health is a pain in the dick.

thanks. Just tried it for the first time yesterday, it's pretty fun but harder than Golden Axe and I've never been able to beat Golden Axe. Will give it serious try one of these days.
