Are the Goemon SNES translations almost finished? I've beaten 2 without understanding moonrunes but 3 and 4 seem to be impenetrable in another language.

Also how is the GBC Goemon some guy keeps shilling recently?

Translation for 2 seems to be close to finished. 3 and 4 on the other hand don't seem to have any progress going on.

4 is mostly playable without moonrunes. It's just like 2 except you might have to read a guide for the towns. 3 on the other hand is an adventureish game similar to the first N64 Goemon as far as I know.

Both of them are. The music and atmosphere alone are enough to make up for Starring Goemon's shortcomings.

I really want to get into Goemon, but I can't understand why the people in the town attacks/hurts you. It just felt really weird and I feel like when I'm in town, I should be able to relax instead of having to always be on guard. Is every Goemon games like this? I really like its style but that one thing about the townspeople always turned me off. I'm playing the officially translated SNES game by the way.

The point of a translation is to make things easier to understand and this change makes things worse.
It mainly feels like the translators are dead set on removing any traces of Japanese from a rather Japanese game. Sooner or later they'll start replacing onigiri with hamburgers.

The pachislot OST had a CD release as well. It's on youtube I think.
It's all arranged music from the previous games, especially the N64 games. It's nice but not as good as the original versions.
The cutscenes on the pachislot itself are pretty nice, was that thing made while the old Goemon Team was still at Konami? The cutscenes look actually pretty nice, it looks like a proper 7th gen version of the classic Goemon.
