Novelty item. Basically, it's only worth getting if you're a collector.

I remember back in 2002, I saw pictures of a local collector who had all sort of rare systems, including the 64DD. I was amazed that someone in my country managed to snatch a 64DD.
Nowadays it wouldn't surprise me anymore, I guess.
Also, since 64DD had really low production run, it is expensive as hell especially if you're looking for a CIB system.

Thank god people ripped the OST from Mario Artist, those games have such great music.

LOL Nope. I got 12 game consoles, 2 handhelds, a PC, a PS4 VR headset and a 42 inch HDTV. I'm doing just fine. 64DD is a waste of money because it's garbage.

The colors per se can't cause any strain, but if you did even with the focus/ipd properly adjusted and you're sure it was from the colors, then it must be some particular problem with your eyes.
