The Genesis Plus GX core

Gens. Unless you want to play Puggsy (Its anti-piracy checks for SRAM which Gens cannot disable), then Kega.

Nostalgia'd hard OP. Looking back it was unreal how much better Kgen performed than SEGA's own attempts at emulation on the Saturn and Dreamcast, it's honestly not bad at all for the time.

>how much better Kgen performed than SEGA's own attempts at emulation on the Saturn and Dreamcast,
Fun fact, the Dreamcast emulator was actually a port of Kgen98.

You can increase the clock speed of dosbox and play choppy polygon roms smoothly.

I don't think that's how it works.

this or the genesis core in MAME
Technically the best is Exodus. Fusion is the most useful all rounder though.
>>4202918
Gens hasn't been considered good since the first release of Fusion. Shit, it couldn't even run at 32bit desktops for almost a decade after it went open source.

Behold!, The Steam generation.

KGEN98 <3

There must have been a hardware discrepancy as Sonic 1 for instance looks and sounds good on Kgen and looks and sounds like absolute garbage on SEGA Smash Pack Vol. 1.
BizHawk hands down.
>>4209418
For clarification, Bizhawk actually uses the Genesis Plus GX core.
Kega still is I think. Shame, Genesis emulators could use more work nowadays and Kega hasn't been touched since 2010 I think.
