Check options in bsnes for input driver and choose "rawinput". Then configure your keys.

Their original pad was a NES-style controller.

The only thing I have trouble getting it to hook up to is my wii for home brew. I can get it to work for wii games such as Mario bros, but any emulation on my wii has been a no go.
