Best way is to hook it up and see. You could also compare official cables to the one you're looking to buy and see if the connector (console end) has the same pin out. This will help root out obvious low quality cables that probably lack proper grounds. most of the time all cheap manufactures buy connectors with all the pins populated but neglect to use the proper pins and go for the bare minimum of putting out a video signal. So that kills that idea.

Get a set of HD Retrovision cables for your SNES. They're nothing short of incredible. They work for RGB hacked N64's as well.
