Have you ever been scammed before?
With everyone complaining about repro this, repro that, I'm just wondering if anyone here has ever gotten royally fucked. Because I've been buying high and low end games for years now and the closest I've ever seen to fakes flooding the market were some bootleg pokemons at the ghandi flea market and an earthbound with a replacement label, both of which I spotted immediately and didn't buy. Are people just legit stupid or are reports overblown?
worst I got was buying from a stock image of a regular edition and got the greatest hits

I spent more than a months pay including my rent on sunset riders, hagne and megaman 7. Turns out they were bootlegs and I got evicted

If you're buying on eVay you're protected 100% anyway. I would probably never buy an ultra rare game locally unless I was damn sure it was real. There are definitely way, way more bootlegs on the market now than there were a few years ago, but the vast majority of them are market as such.

I had trouble with PAL games being the wrong language.
Buying a game in 5 languages that you don't understand is pretty shitty.
