I started with charmander the first time though. I did know about the weaknesses, english is not my first language but I could guess a lot, and also water beating fire is as basic as it gets.
I tanked through the whole game using Charizard's Slash move though. Fuck I love that attack.

But Venusaur is irreplacable in the late game! I mean, you can fudge his slot with Vileplume, Eggsecutor or Victorbell, but they are all weak in comparison.

Charizard and Blastoise can be, ideally replaced with Moltres and Articuno. There are tons of water-type options and all the fire options are prime too. Bulbasaur is necessary.

Unfortunately emuparadise was probably the best place to get Gamecube iso. I got over 80+ gc games from there and every single one was a clean 1:1 rip. When nintendo fucked emuparadise earlier this year i got some gc isos from archive but one of them was a bad dump. sucks

Dude. Way back in 1998 Bulbasaur was my first pick and the best Pokemon I ever had. I called him Mr. V and once he became Venusaur he was never defeated. Not by the Elite 4 or link cable battle with my friends. My brother eventually erased my data years later (by accident supposedly), but we still keep his memory alive.

Back on my first playthough when I was a child, I completed the Pokedex and didn't know about the Cinnibar glitch. It took me several attempts to catch a Tauros, but I did actually catch one.
