I have a 4-slot just like this, I have individual games like Last Blade and Mark of the Wolves but if you are planning on buying a cab straight up buy a 151 in one cart. Totally worth.

Is that still an easy proposition these days? Everything on eBay right now is terribly overpriced and the only recent sold listing looks to be an LCD conversion. I remember thegameroom used to sell a lot online several years ago for reasonable prices, but I guess he doesn't have anything listed on eBay at the moment.

OP here -- did some more research and it's def. worth the effort to grab one of these for a good price and clean it up then just put your own flash cart in -- really easy to do

There was one of these on craigslist with two slots and a metal slug cartridge for 400 in suspiciously good condition but it sold in less than 24 hour

No, they're Japanese arcade cabs. You could make them an emulation machine if you choose to do so. Can't remember what I paid for my Astro City before shipping, but maybe 4-600? Astros certainly aren't 1k+ cabs.

Sure, though I was just pointing out that a candy cab is not an emulation machine, they're just the common variety of cab you see in Japan. Youll find varieties made by Sega, Taito, SNK, Capcom, Sammy, etc. They're fairly easy to move around and have the control panel low so you can play them seated.

I really can't in good conscience. I love Neo Geo games but these things are CRAZY fuckign Expensive. Even MVS carts can run you a few Hundred and since SNK ain't seeing a dime there's no reason to buy official when emulation is an option.
