Drop the biggest nostalgia bomb you possibly can
Found this in the garage
I will always remember mplayer as an expensive online multiplayer service instead of a shitty GUIless media player spammed by /g/ shills

Without this "nostalgia bomb", video games would not exist today as we know them. The mainland invasion of Japan would have reduced the infrastructure to such a degree that the post-war economic recovery would have been rendered utterly impossible. It would have been like Okinawa for another 6 months, if not another year.Don't get me wrong, I consider dropping nuclear arms on civilians a war crime. The world just might be a very different place had the Burgers not done it.

Very cool to see Zelda depicted with a bow even early on

What's space bikini Zelda from and do you have anymore art from that?
>>4182510
I had like the whole microsoft sidewinder controler collection as a kid. My dad got it all at a pawn shop for like $3. The flight joystick was top notch but the dpad on that controller was garbage.
Nostalgia'd hard tho

I have that book sitting next to my TV right now.

Did you know that girls face is actually the face of a man?
>>4182986
I don't remember all the details but an early version of what became ALttP was going to have you travel into the future and meet a space age Zelda or something.
Imagine how different the games would be if they went through with that, though. Damn.
At least I think it was ALttP?
>>4186716
No it was the original Zelda. The triforce was microchips or something IIRC.
>>4186719
Oh, so it was the first game? My bad, sorry.
>>4186713
That's terribly sexy.
>>4185980
I'd love to see more .
>>4186740
That's all I have, sorry fren.
It'd take abit, but I can snap some shots of one of them if you wanna read one.
Probably have to do it in a different catergory though. Not exactly the kinda retro for this board.

That was a really cool summer
>>4191627
I legit had no idea there was a Gameboy one. This is kind of blowing my mind right now.
>>4192859
I had like 15 of these gamepads. I think they were free from somewhere.
>>4186673
WOW. Honestly did not expect to nostalgia hard in this thread. Spent so many hours playing that racing game afterschool.
Contributing to the goodness...

Zorcher locked and loaded
These weird long packs of CD-ROMs were always mostly shovelware, but goddamn were they amazing in a time before the internet.
Anything Windows XP-related is nostalgia incarnate.
At least to me.
>>4182515

To me it's Win3.11/Win95.
I still use XP in one of my computers and still feel like it's a recent version of windows. I don't even have nostalgia for Win98, although I do have nostalgia for stuff like IRC (which still exists) or java chat rooms (which also still exist).
>>4194202
It says something about the quality of the Doom engine that even THIS wasn't that bad of a game.
read this cover to cover.
>>4197985
What does that last sentence after "there simply aren't enough quality games" say?
These don't exist online.
