Name something more 90's than this
Sticker collections

Garfield was more of an 80's icon than a 90's one

What a lie. What a waste.

My mistake, it seems that 3 is actually included.
>>4179590
Oh please, that's an 80s thing. It took the 90s to kill them.

I want to know why Garifeld OCs never became a thing
>>4179578
check these out, dudes

You may be right, but they were still popular during the 90s where I live.
I also had a Transformers one, but that was indeed either late 80s or very early 90s, like 1990.
>>4179846
Well that's a surprise, I remember those. The metal slammers were what everyone wanted here.
Still funny how most people didn't realize this was to sell toys.
>>4180081
That's been the purpose of virtually every children's cartoon made since the early 80s. They're nearly all just vehicles to sell toys.
>>4179820
Sega Genesis marketing was the Poochie of gaming.
>>4180081
I knew Mighty Max was a toy, so when the cartoon came out I was super reserved. It was not a game changer by any means, but it still turned out to be an entertaining show with more substance than anyone would expect.
The game was shit, though.
Knuckles Chaotix, so 90s that it hurts to look at
>Sonic 3 & Knuckles & Garfield & Baku Baku
>>4180081
It's kind of funny, I watched the crap out of Mighty Max back in the day, but I don't remember even being aware of the toy line until much later
>>4180081
>to sell toys
Yeah that's the purpose of most animated series. Look at /m/.
Mighty Max toys were radical as all fuck.

I wonder why thugh, collecting stickers is fun as fuck (at least when you're a kid, mainly due to the exchange/trading aspect with other kids).
I know baseball trading cards are popular in the US though, why only baseball cards?
>>4181348
Football and baseball trading cards were popular in the 90s, but nobody really cares now. Now its magic, yugioh and pokemon cards. I still see them at the store sometimes.
>>4181348
Eurofag here, we had stickers too, it probably came from the passion of football (soccer) stickers in the first place.
No football, no stickers industry.

I had this. They changed up the music in some of the sonic zones like carnival night, ice cap, and launch base zone. Some people think it had to do with the fact that Michael Jackson worked on some of the music for the original tracks.
