I don't know if any of you guys use RetroPie, or if this is allowed here, but I need some help.
I'm using RetroPie to run some ROM hacks. Sure, I could use my PC, but I like using my RetroPie a bit better for this. I'm using a Pi 3, by the way. What I'm trying to do is enable RTC (Real Time Clock) through my GBA emulator. Pokemon Liquid Crystal won't let me do Real Time Events because the clock won't set, since there's no RTC on the Pi. I tried connecting to a server that would sync my Pi's time, but that's not doing anything in-game.
If this post isn't cool here, let me know, I'll take it down. But if you've got any ideas, let me know. I've been at this a bit, tonight. Wanna see if it's possible. Thanks.
Aren't there hacks that let you edit the time?
Well, remakes are allowed and rom hacks are allowed, so I guess this thing is probably allowed. What emulator are you using?

mGBA. I may have just found out what's going on, though. From what I see online, RTC works in other Pokemon games. It looks like Liquid Crystal might just have an issue with its current release. I launched it on my laptop and saw that it didn't see my clock there, either. I'm gonna check this out real quick.
Thanks, by the way.

Well, it's working on PC. I think the Pi emulator doesn't read my Pi clock. I'll check the config.txt for mGBA. See what I can do.

I can change it manually, but Liquid Crystal is trying to read my clock. Can't just set a time and let the mGBA emulator clock work its magic. It's a dumb idea from the developers of Liquid Crystal.

It's dead and edgy.

Before you open the ROM you need to go to >tools >game overrides >disable autodetect >enable RTC.
Then start the ROM without closing the game overrides window.

Better than Crystal Dust.

Is that a thing on retropie? I don't see tools with those options.

I'll check this one out. Looks good.
