>And yes, even those really old retro games.
No mouse no Mario I used to say
>4 face buttons
no thanks.
Isn't this that rerez controller? What's the deal with it, when is it coming out?
>here's a built-in joy2key that you pay for!
Stop the presses, this is news!
>>4167673
It's nice to have in hardware dummy.
>playing SMB with kb+m
>>4168098
I mean if you play any SMB on emulator, you're just shit at vidya
>>4168098
Keyboard to move, a+b bound to mouse 1+2?
Seems . . . doable.
Yall niggas didn't beat Castlevania with directional buttons and z + x back in the day?
>>4168565
That, plus Contra and most Mega Mans. WASD is for pussies.
>>4167571
joy2key does that already
>>4167571
Maybe they talk about PC games? But retro PC games used to support gamepads like Gravis Gamepad. The fuck is this?
>>4168675
Megaman actually can be slightly easier on the keyboard in some parts, particularly holding a charge shot is really easy if you have several fingers to use to jump/shoot. You can spend entire game with pre-charged buster.
>>4168675
How the fuck can people use WASD for platformers?
>>4168796
WASD for movement left/right and ladders, JKL for jumping etc. I actually used a setup like that for a while because it's technically closer to how a real gamepad is laid out, when arrows+zx is mirrored gamepad layout.
>>4168796
How can people play Doom with it?
>>4168820
IDK, I've always gone Control and Alt as my primary fire/strafe keys
>>4167571
I used to play DOS Mario all the time
>>4168563
It's marketing. They rely on you, the consumer, being too dumb to realise that their product does nothing that you can't already do without it.
>>4168204
I need to try this sometime
>>4169017
But then you're in constant danger of hitting the windows key.
>>4168796
By mapping the A/B/X/Y etc. buttons to the number pad.
>>4168098
I play platformers all the time with kb, it isnt that bad.
>>4170995
Yeah but mouse too?
>>4171009
Idk why I still bother looking at Steam game forums.
I'm surprised how many people want to play indie platformers with wasd to move and the mouse buttons to run and jump.
>>4171024
They've probably never held a controller before in their lives and grew up scorning consoles.
maybe he was referring to nesticle
>>4168796
WASD - directional keys
Arrow keys - action keys
