Why didn't they put a cartridge slot in the top of this game and call it something like The FX32, so other games could use it's Super FX chip. Then Donkey Kong Country would have just been the amazing free inbuilt game with the graphics upgrade.

Codemasters filed the patent first
1. Super fx chip
2. Sega develops SVP chip in response the plan being to make it a cart add on a la 32x/game genie
3. Codemasters files patent for add on chip cart
4 SVP gets one $100 release
