Well, 魔法が使える immediately jumped out to me there, since I've seen those words so many times. It all comes down to practice. (But my Japanese is shit anyway, so it's not like I have a right to be talking.)

強力イエマモ~ル (kyouryoku ie mamoru)
kyouryoku = strong
ie = house
mamoru = protect

Likewise, there are other items that increase resistance to specific attributes.

Earthquake resistance:
強力ユレトメ~ル (kyouryoku yure tomeru)
yure = shake / tremble
tomeru = stop

Fire resistance:
強力ネツヨケ~ル (kyouryoku netsu yokeru)
netsu = heat
yokeru = ward
