Pumpkin+ lets you get Halloweens IIRC which are sort of like Pumpkins except way better

Pumpkins and Halloweens are both totally broken units that do ratio HP damage

Chances are you'll never be able to accidentally stumble into the correct choices you need to get everything anyway. It's possible but you need to do a bunch of different things in a very specific sequence. If you're not playing the game with "recruit all the special characters and get the best ending" walkthrough from the beginning, then just do what seems fun to you.

The Pumpkin+ lets you promote the Pumpkinhead monster. I don't really care for them in either form but your mileage may vary.

I love using Pumpkinheads in OB64, I even put a few in Magnus's unit for shits and giggles and it became the ultimate death machine. Felt weird taking on the final boss and having a silly joke monster take out half its health in one go.

64 is a lot more simple than this game, I feel like. In 64 I just kill all the enemy leaders and pick off their units at me leisure. In this game they actually run away to heal and I gotta pay attention to our levels and even the time of day. But at least my units don't have to sleep every two minutes.

This is actually kind of an interesting choice because if IIRC - sparing Deneb drops your reputation, but raises your alignment.

Which is supposed to represent doing the moral thing even if it isn't popular (because I don't think she was actually doing anything wrong other than being a weirdo making pumpkin man, it's just rumours by villagers)

Well I didn't want Deneb in my army anyway. I picked the female opinion leader, so she doesn't need any competition, more Lans+Canopus dick for herself!

It's a trade off. If you save Deneb , you can recuit as much pumpkins as you like, but you will only be able to find pumpkin+ from random drops.

If you kill le wiccan, then you get as much pumpkin+/rotten pumpkins as you like from a villager in a certain town, but you only recruit pumpkins from random encounters.

Both are good for killing undead and dealing with high HP enemies, but their attacks are useless against boss fights. Halloweens are also good tanks if you train them from a low level.
