Why did the best Golden Axe game never come to home consoles? None of the other games come remotely close to Revenge of the Death Adder.
>>
Because porting games is expensive and there was never much of an audience for Golden Axe in the late 90s anyway so it was probably not worth the investment.

Revenge of Death Adder came out in '92. Would have loved to of seen a Saturn port.

That's cool, really didn't know it was that early.

especially strange considering they ported The Duel to saturn
>>
>>4152748
That's the thing, The Duel was native to the STV board which was essentially Saturn hardware without loading times. There was no porting involved, it's technically the same game.

Never played the Duel. Any good?

Yeah, definitely came out when "Jab 'n' Jogs" were still popular. It hurts to know that in some alternative universe GA: Revenge of Death Adder was a Saturn launch title.
>>
I loved playing that game at arcades as a kid. I would have bought a Saturn just to play it at home.

Genesis couldn't handle it and it was forgotten by Saturn's time.

It's a samurai shodown 2 clone, it is pretty good but too derivative.
>>

Same. Musta spent a big chunk of the money I earned on my paper route playing it at the local Pizza Hut.

>to of seen
