Post and rate your comfy /vr/ battlestations!

Here's mine. I rotate between NTSC and PAL Playstations and NTSC and PAL Super Nintendos.
>>
I have that same DB poster.

Noice. Where are you from? The German/Scandinavian versions of the Dragon Ball manga are probably the best out there, and they come with posters. That's were I got mine at least.

Argentina, but I used to buy the DB manga imported from Spain, many years before they started editing the DB manga here.
I got that poster from the last issue of the Red series (for some reason, the editors released the manga in 2 "series": white and red. White is from the beginning until the end of Freeza saga, and red is from Androids/Cell saga to the end. The issues were american comic book-sized, and they had only 30 or so pages.
211 issues in total. I didn't own them all but a good portion. Eventually I started buying the tankoubon. Not really the best though, it's mirrored, and doesn't have the nice spine picture, but that's all I had access to back in the 90s.

nice clean setup, so comfy to have the console right next to you on the same table as the TV. Pic related what I currently have hooked to my old trini
>>
>>4150970
Thanks, anon! Your pic is pretty much my goal "look". The North American SNES clashes pretty hard tho
>>
>>4150970
Damn, what year is that trini? Shit's fucking cash
>>
>>4150987
All retro consoles clash with whatever they are near.

Photos a bit blurry but here's my gear. S video Wii connected to the tv and Amiga monigof

It's a kv-1326r, not sure of the year, probably early 80s. It was my parent's first TV and when I moved out they didn't care about it at all so they let me take it :^)

The cold air blows out over the setup out of the directional top vent. All my systems work fine forever like gold & diamonds!! So dont bother telling me that my A/C is killing my systems and i should put raspberry meme PIs in all my systems.

those shelves are triggering me.
>>
>>4151360
>Catalog
Why? Because of the lack of organising by generation or company?
I plan to redo it all once I get all them to SCART or Component for most of them.
Intellivision, Atari 2600, and TG-16 are SOL on upgrading though so that sucks. Plus they barely don't fit

Far right has extra systems. Rare GC, release date 360, and GC I got for free
>>
>>4151369
get different shelving or add a back to the one you have. You should also remove the dividing panels in the vertical shelves and move all consoles to bottom cubes and put games on the upper shelves but even then your setup is just taking up so much fucking space.
>>
>>4151338
>>
If anything I'd say you need LESS cables, not more.
>>
>>4151284
What kind of moron leaves the AC window uncovered? Solar radiation is a big source of heat, plus eyeglare for the gaming.
I assume you simply have bulky furniture or something and that's the only place left to fit that shit

Only the SNES is out at the moment, most of my stuff is still in boxes somewhere.
I'm trying to find another furniture to put most of the electronics in, I think I will probably go with on of these Akai/Pioneer HiFi furniture and put the A/V components in
>>
>>4152001
>still has the sticker!
This is a stellar station, 9/10. i agree you should get an a/v stand for the components and center the monitor on its stand, that'd bring it to a solid 10/10.
>>
>>4151338
>>4151369
it looks good holmes, 6/10 unlike a lotta guys with similar shelves that just display consoles i can clearly see the work you put into cabling everything so that it's all playable at a moments notice.
>>
>>4151284
getting there, 7/10. to really bring it together you should swap out that Wega for a Hi-Black Trinitron with the speakers below the tube. 27 inch ideally, it'd turn this setup to a 10/10

>>4150970
v comfy, can we get a shot from further back?
>>
>>4150908
>PAL Playstations
What games are there that are preferable to play in PAL besides Team Buddies?
>>
>>4152124
None pretty much. It's just cause I want to play games where you have to read, in English. The American ones are really expensive to import
>>
>>4152131
That's a pretty awful tradeoff considering how poorly games were ported to PAL in general before the introduction of PAL60, especially on the Playstation.
>>
>>4152024
I only have one sticker though, left one is missing. Still, quite nice for something saved from the dumpster.
I don't think I will center the monitor, since my couch is also offset. Centering it would cause the monitor to face away from the couch. And I don't think the amp would fit in a standard A/V rack.
>>
>>4152131
>>4152138
I would just install a PSIO in a Japanese Playstation.
>>
>>4152138
That's why I play most games in NTSC j
>>
>>4152147
But you play games that weren't developed for PAL in PAL.
>>
>>4152151
Doesn't a chipped PS1 recognize the region and output NTSC with burned NTSC backups?
>>
>>4152170
No, most consoles can only output video in one standard.
>>
>>4152178
Loading a pal game on my Japanese Playstation with the boot trick, it displays pal
>>
>>4152124
Colin 2 had some fixes in pal, Wipeout 3 SE and Toca WTC were released only in EU.

There were some games released her uncensored comparing to EU or with bugs fixed GT2 for example.
But having lower fps because of 50hz sometimes is unbearable.

Technically its only 5 fps but when the game runs at 30 already it is noticeable.
>>
>>4152198
>There were some games released her uncensored comparing to EU
Fix
*There were some games released her uncensored comparing to US
>>
>>4152196
Correct speed? THat's nice then, then I can just get a Japanese Playstation then.
>>4152198
>Colin 2 had some fixes in pal, Wipeout 3 SE and Toca WTC were released only in EU.
But if the games were not developed for PAL like Team Buddies, which was, and was also censored in the US version, it's just not worth the changed speed.
>>
>>4152178
Can you verify this? I'm finding mixed information on this topic.

People in this thread >>4140609 (archived) said that I should be able to play NTSC games on a chipped PAL PS1 at 60hz without problems.
>>
>>4152271
That is correct.
>>
>>4152271

I do that all the time, can confirm.

Correct speed yes, but some games have glitches, I've heard.
>>
>>4152327
Post this on /r/gaming with the title "NES Switch" or something for thousands of upvotes. Or better yet, 9gag.
>>
>>4152467

How can that be caused by anything but the speed being incorrect?
>>
>>4152313
Real nasty hacker setup there anon
>>
>>4150970
that is literally perfection. please you need a few more anime plushes or cats
>>
>>4152483
The difference in the images vertical height, I think. I have never seen a glitch myself, but I heard about it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
>>
>>4152313 Really cool setup. Those old monitors remind me of the late '90s. Very nostalgic for me
>>
>>4150970
I have a similar set up, just yet to get a super everdrive I want it bad tho beau Lemme fetch a pic.

If you have pets or kids I would recommend the 8bitdo witeless controller. Made it so I could play without them constantly reseting it.

That looks like the wires must be complicated. IS that DKC in the SFC?
>>
>>4154858
Yeah it's DKC2. My computer stand is to the left of this off camera, the genesis/SFC share a PSU which is connected to computer stand's surge protector, along with the gamcube. Everything else is plugged into the surge behind the TV. Everything HD is always connected. The CRT 2 things can be hooked at once, whatever cables aren't in use are hung over a hook in the back of the rack.
>>
>>4154840
The sock looks cleaner today. Is this a new sock or the same as last time you posted this?
>>
>>4154891
it's a black sock, the other sock was a white one I have had for a decade. Whatever sock used for blocking LEDs can double as a dust rag because holy fuck every day there is a mountain of dust on everything. I don't know if it will do shit btu thinking of buying an air purifier, probably a mini vac too if the carpet plays a big part.
