what is the best way play OoT using pc?

*to play
>>
>>4145789
Just emulate the regular version or OoT3d if you need more eye candy. That texture pack looks like dogshit.
>>
>>4145789
>There are people who genuinely believe the picture on the right looks better

custom HD packs are cancer
>>
>>4145873
>>4145895
yes that's the point, i was wondering if there's some texture pack that doesn't look like shit, also is there a way to emulate OoT3d nicely?
>>
>>4145789
The textures on the right make me want to puke.
>>
>>4145973
Yes, with a 3DS emulator. I've never done it, so I'm not going to spoonfeed you. Just Google and I'm sure you'll find it faster than the Nintendo cops find you.
>>
>>4145789
Citra running the 3DS version
>>
>>4145986
>>4145990
These. Besides minor lighting issues, grezzo has done the best job with updating the textures/overall graphics.
>>
I think OOT is one of the few N64 games that actually emulates well.
>>
>>4146932
I still remember dealing with this annoying bug where it would take a minute to pull up the inventory screen. I don't remember the exact emulator and plugin combo I was using at the time, I think it was 1964 0.9.9 with Jabo Direct3D8. Yes, I copied the plugins from Project64, because I fucking hated that emu.

WHat's wrong with the original textures?

I played it 2 years ago, PJ64 1.6, instert rom, bam! Worked perfectly.
Never had the feeling "Oh this would be SO much better if the textures were different", it's how the game looks and HD packs are cancer.

Looks like shit.

The best way to play this heap of dung is not at all. Zelda is and always will be 2D. Same goes for Metroid.
>>
>>4147378

Disgusting.
>>
>>4147356
>1964
Is this 1999?
>>
>>4147378
those textures do not suit the game at all
>>
>>4147767
This was back in 2007.
>>
If you really want HD textures, there is a really good texture mod for the Zelda Collector's Edition version which you can run in Dolphin.
It looks really nice and it does fits the game really well.
>>
>>4147378
Go away nazi
>>
>>4147378
Gross, just use the 3ds version. Emulate it if you have to.

Having high-res textures on objects made up of like 50 polygons is absurd. Looks awful.
>>
>>4147378
The biggest problem with it is that it's so fucking inconsistent. The rocks and walls look great, but literally everything else still looks like an N64 game.

Someone should make a texture pack that brings it up to PS2 levels, or even just doubles the texture resolution, without going completely overboard with it.
>>
>>4150265
>Anyway, Steven Universe is /vr/ because Steven has a Nintendo 64. Peridot even uses an N64 controller in one of her machines.

that does not make it /vr/ you literal faggot
>>
>>4145973
I believe there's a texture pack for the N64 version that uses the OOT3D textures. But you should just play OOT3D if you're going to do that, the framerate's better.
>>

The show is SJW and tumblr shit, now talk about retro shit, you fucking retard
