I would love to play Road Rash in HD

For PS4 and Xbox One
>>4142698
MGS1/TS and MGS4 should get the treatment 2/3/PW got last gen.
>>4142672
>Burning rangers
Why you want to remake garbage?
>>4142714
because it's good
>>4142720
>he fell for the transparency meme
>>4142672
STOP WITH ASKING FOR FUCKING REMAKES ALL THE TIME YOU FAGGOTS ACCEPT AS IS OR FUCK OFF
>>4142742
no, I fell for the sonic team 3D meme
>>4142693
This game was the shit and the best road rash game ever. I would play the shit out of a remaster.
>>4143626
>If the only thing to change is the graphics (while remaining faithful to the original artistic style) i dont see the problem.
I don't see the point either.
>>4143626
Name five remakes that accurately recreate the gameplay. Meaning that a person currently in the groove on the original game can set the old down, pick up the new and still be in the groove. Until remakes are like that, hypernerds will not accept them.
>people clammoring for the remake meme even though the vast majority of them are trash
>>4143637
>Until remakes are like that, hypernerds will not accept them.
Why would you want to play the exact same game with different visuals. I want my remakes to keep the basic idea and change everything else, but since most modern games are terrible yeah, it's a no-win situation.
>>4143657
What you're describing is a sequel not a remake. I'm somewhat more okay with old franchises getting sequels since they cheapen the original game less.
Like Bionic Commando. It does kind of weird me out that people think that Rearmed is like a minigame based on that terrible 2009 game but at least they know there's a good Bionic Commando.
I suppose in the end through the lens of history people will overlook a million pounds of shit if there was one good thing at the bottom of it. People still love Superman for fuck's sake.
>>4143637
Sorcerian Original completely replaced vanilla Sorcerian for me even though I used to absolutely adore it
>>4143675
Really? Fuck. I like Sorcerian too. Should I play it?
>>4143694
Yeah for sure. It's essentially vanilla Sorcerian with all the modules, but with Sorcerian Forever quality sprite work and some small QoL changes
>>4143701
But the Dreamcast one should be avoided?
>>4143702
I never played it to be fair but it looks hideous. To me Original is the perfected form for Sorcerian. I really don't see how it could be proved on while still maintaining the same "feel"
>>4143671
>What you're describing is a sequel not a remake.
I think you need to go look up what a remake is.
>>4143648
The things I'd do to inui...
>>4143671
>I suppose in the end through the lens of history people will overlook a million pounds of shit if there was one good thing at the bottom of it.
Of course because in the end the good is all that matters. A thousand crappy Superman stories is well worth it if one of them is brilliant.
Weaponlord big time. Even just an HD re-release.
>>4142748
PSO is godlike tho
>>4143780
I liked it initially, but wow it got grindy and repetitive. It did help inspire Monster Hunter though so there's that.
>>4143792
Dragon's Dogma too and many others in fact it sort of created a genre for online gaming although it could be argued that it's a little Gauntlet derivative. It's certainly NOT a remake of Phantasy Star though.
>>4143858
DD was more of a straight rpg with a focus on combat. I really wish it had been more in the vein of MH or PSO. It was still good, but no matter what you out level everything if you play it much.
Did give me one of the most epic boss fights I've had though. Three attempts before I won and in the end took over 2 hours fighting a thing that OHKO'd me with anything more than a scratch. Took like a week of days in-game too, night time when the forest was crawling with goblins was scary shit.
Damn I hope they make a good sequel.
>>4143637
>recreate the gameplay
why would you want this? if the gameplay really has no problems and is worth "recreating", the company may as well just copy everything over and just make the graphics prettier. but really at that point, you may as well just play the original with upscaling filters because all that would have changed are the graphics.
I would jizz my pants if this game was rereleased with modern TPS controls. The original N64 controls are fair, but not at all modern.
>>4144192
this game is awesome. i like the game quite a bit as it is, but i'd appreciate one too. however, i'd really appreciate Rare just making good games.
Any panzer game.
>>4142672
Mother 1, 2, and 3
Too bad SEGA's remakes are just 1080p ports with a couple of extra features
>>4143895
Dude, Dragon's Dogma is a squad online game in Japan. Check it.
>>4144180
>Why would you want to recreate gameplay?
Because it's a remake. If you want to make a different game, tell a different story. Sharing a setting is one thing but slapping a classic game's characters and story on some other game is just fundamentally a bad idea. Lightning doesn't strike twice.
>>4143648
Who is this cute?
>>4144386
It's called a remaster you dunce.
>>4142698
>a remake of a garbage remake
For what purpose?
>>4144386
>isn't advertised as a remake
>"Wooooow, this isn't a remake!"
>>4143637
how do I filter the contrarian tripfag
>>4144192
Shit, it's not like RARE's doing's anything fucking worthwhile nowadays.
Also Nintendo doesn't own any part of this license.
Why the fuck not.
>>4144386
They remade that stage for Sonic Generations
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7E_ES9ehw5o
>>4144192
uhh this kinda happened on xbone.
they patched the game to have normal fps aiming/moving when you hold the aim button
Trip World, hand drawn.
>>4142698
Dennis Dyack basically already confirmed it was coming to Switch
I know for a fact these are screaming for an HD remake:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMD_d6dGI-U
>>4145240
Not retro
>>4145597
so are most remakes
Do sprite-based games count? If so pic related
>>4144626
>Dude, Dragon's Dogma is a squad online game in Japan.
Interesting! Doesn't help the over-leveling issue from what I just looked up, but hope for the future.
>>4145619
Yes
Is Warlocked (GBC) still the best handheld RTS of all time?
>>4145750
Well post em fag
>>4143637
Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence HD
Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance HD
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD
Star Fox 64 3D
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time HD
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD
Literally every single HD collection on the PS3/Xbox 360 besides Silent Hill
Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen Versions
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past/Four Swords
>>4145927
Not him but HD ports aren't remakes. FR/LG both change up the gameplay (for the better).
>>4145054
>bloom overload
Somehow that makes the stage look ten times worse.
any saturn or dreamcast game should be ported to pc
>>4145927
I'm cool with upscaled emulation, especially if it works well which most of those games do. I think that it shouldn't be so frowned on here when people do it for themselves and I think it's good that it brings classic games to fresher audiences.
I'm mainly thinking about how that new Crash game is good which I had assumed was what inspired OP to even start this thread. It amazes me that a game like that will sell well enough to be worth all the effort it must have taken to recreate it completely but it seems that it did and that's really good news. Maybe we'll see a Spyro remake that's fully legit and it'll sell a hundred million copies or something. I heard Wonder Boy was good and did good too.
>>4146953
Agreed those are mostly fine versions, but they're not remakes
>>4146953
Those arent upscaled, those are rendered realtime at 720p at least.
