Name the best Video Game Movie, and why is it Double Impact?

I've been asking my self the same question for 23 years, and pic related is the only answer that rings true to me as a /vr/ slash /tv/ patrician kinosseur.
A dying man turned up an appearance more apt, more entertaining, and most of all, more memorable than in any other video game movie adaptation. Any I haven't even begun to talk about the rest.

Yup. Raul Julia alone made Street Fighter The Movie worth owning on Blu-Ray, his performance carried the movie.

True. I loved MK. I hated the sequel though.

Does The Wizard count?
Honestly I found the Prince of Persia movie fully enjoyable. Don't know if that counts as /vr/ or not.

This is a very good answer. Raul Julia was so fun in that movie.

Yeah, the first MK movie was actually pretty enjoyable. For its time the fights were good fun.

yup..gotta love this flick

>Does The Wizard count?
Despite the fact that it was one long Nintendo commercial, yes, I suppose it would count as a video game movie.
>Prince Of Persia
Well it began as a video game franchise in 1989, but the movie came out in 2010, so I'm not sure if it should count in VR since the movie isn't retro.

I really enjoyed the Tekken movie. Good fighting choreographies.

Even if they're based on retro games and came out during the time period allowed here? Those should be allowed. It's /vr/ media. There was a thread about the Netflix Castlevania thing that lasted more than a week... Any way, the Wizard and Super Mario Bros. were a lot of fun. I need to check out Tekken again. May have seen it when I was a little kid, but can;t remember a thing from it.

I remember how excited I was about the Super Mario Brothers movie. It had so much potential. Then I watched the movie, I was so disappointed. I always wondered if Sega would have responded with a Sonic The Hedgehog movie. But they never did.
