The standard narrative is that Akira Kitamura formed Takeru, made Cocoron, and then Takeru went under, and Kitamura left gaming. That would place his last game at 1991. Instead, he actually went to form Tao Human Systems, where he worked on at least three games:

Meaning he was in gaming WAY longer than people thought, and may have left around 1998 when Tao Human Systems went under. I'm still researching this guy, so please, if you have any additional information, please share it.
