I hold the left prong with my left hand in every game. It's much better for me, I can't stand holding the centre prong. There's less balance that way. I am the only one I know who did/does this, but I have done it for like 20 years and I find it the best way for me.

My hands are reasonably big, there's no problem at all in extending my thumb that far. I also actually like the N64 controller. It's just as good or maybe even better than having the analogue on the left.

Difference in image quality (questionable difference, I have to add) is not worth keeping a CRT TV that takes a fuckload of space and is more energy consuming than 3 lcd tv's.
