how do i play this game

With the d-pad.

B is strike, hold it for strong strike
A is grapple, hold it for strong grapple
D pad to determine which grapple
I think down c is run, i think grapple and down C for irish whip
Control stick to taunt or activate special, grapple and control stick for special move
L and R for either grapple or strike reversal(timing sensitive)

It's been years since I played this game, and I mostly played Virtual Pro 2

It's not that hard to figure out. I don't even have an instruction manual for it and I was able to play just fine. The controls will feel natural to the movement of your wrestler.

I just got this game, wrestlemania, and another wrestling game in a bundle and i still have no idea why people like them so much. Even if wrestling was popular at one point

I played attitude for the first time since early 2000s the other day. It was still fun and made me laugh a few times. Back then it was awesome because we had the toy wrestlers and watched raw and smackdown so when wrestlemania 2000 and no mercy came out it was really exciting to play as current new characters new game modes etc with friends. The ps1/ps2 games were really good but around when it turned wwe I grew out of it so the newer games have no appeal to me now but I could replay these for nostalgia. As for this game is remember playing it but I think we always choose wwf games not just because that's what we watched but because we thought they were more fun to play. So I assume this game is kinda shit.
