Games you only played on the computers at school.

Who the fuck made this thing? It's really great.
>>4129774
iirc it was a university student from somewhere, who did that demo for a study project, then released it as freeware and somehow it ended up being in every school PC lab in the 90s.
It wasn't that great, controls weren't the best, level design was not very good (I feel like I'm being too harsh, it was just a demo), but the graphics were actually comfy.

I disagree, I think it controls better than OG SMB. But that color palette is indeed beautiful.
Hearts LAN-party every break.
>>4129803
Better than OG Smb? hmmm... I doubt it, but then again I never tried it with a gamepad, only keyboard.
Another game I played exclusively at school: Stunts.
Hours and hours and hours and hours playing that game, taking turns with other kids.
I actually played it in monochrome.

Back in 98 this was all the rage in my high school QBASIC class.
Not really a game, but my first interaction with a computer was with this turtle. It's funny because it really was slow.
no kid would ever play the proper game
we would just take turns on this pong clone segment

None. I barely used computers at school. They Oregon Trail but I've played that at home as well. They had Simcity 2000 but I played that at home too. Other than maybe a half a dozen times playing those and like once a week in typing classes one year I ignored I never used them.

Lemonade Stand for the Commodore PET.
I would post a screenshot, but can only find them for the C64 version.

LOGO was not just a cool drawing program, but forced you to break down each step of your drawing and program it.
It was a way to make children think logically, like computer programmers.
>>4129957
Why? Putt putt saves the zoo was awesome.
Oregon Trail was always fun when you raced with your friends in the computer lab to see who get the farthest before it was time to leave.
All the typical 90s shit, until one day...
I found this fuckin game on only one machine. I always chose that computer from then on. Usually people would start to notice and a crowd would gather and we'd take turns whooping each other's ass.
Same computer teacher that later became our art teacher. I once found Kings Quest VI in a pile of AOL CDs she wanted to use as an art project. I was a quiet kid and I fucking begged her not to destroy that game.
She wouldn't listen, so I straight up stole it.
Years before, her daughter had helped us through the copy protection part with her manual. (Dad borrowed it off a friend)

DECWAR. My mommy said there wasn't enough space in my bedroom for a PDP and a dozen terminals.
Used to play this one on the school macs. The create-a-fish mode was like crack to me as a kid for some reason.

In elementary school a few kids and I got in trouble one time because we would stop and hunt little rabbits, and this really sensitive girl kept whining and crying about it until she finally told the teacher on us.
No exaggeration we were banned from playing for the rest of the day and weren't allowed to shoot rabbits from then on. Which kind of defeats the entire purpose since it's a fucking educational survival game.

Island of Dr. Quandary was my shit.
> computers at school
> mfw old and from a poor school district so we had no computers.
>>4131503
The Island of Dr. Brain was better.
Word Rescue, also Math Rescue
>>4129713
Doing flips and shit
I played Age of Empires and Quake.
Now that I think about it, my teachers must have been really nice to have those games installed on the school's computers.
Some game where you played as a guy in a coat and hat without a face. You'd shoot televisions with a remote and solve math problems.
6th grade we had some Apple II's at school, Oregon Trail was the house favorite. The year after that it was on to weird custom rigs and Life & Death. Great game if you've never played it.

Looks like a retro trauma center.
>>4129750
oh fuck so many good memories
here's one of my own, I didn't even know this game had cool MT-32 music until recently
Loads and loads of Age of Empires 2. Computer lab teacher was accommodating toward people playing doom over LAN when there was no work assigned. Good times.

I like you guys. This game was the shit!
>>4130953
Good as well. Played this a lot.
Why is nobody talking about pic related?
Runescape for life on school :3!
>>4131868
Fuck and breed my ass, I've been trying to remember this game for 12 years
