Nah. Gauntlet IV on Genesis is a port of Gauntlet. Gauntlet II on NES is a pretty decent port of Gauntlet II by NES standards while Gauntlet on NES would definitely best be described as an adaptation.

Are there any games like gauntlet that are actually fun? The "quarter sucking" mechanics are ridiculous in that game.
