I know the guy is extremely hated now, but I still think Inafune is one of my top vidya artists and character designers. I would love to see more of his art outside the Mega Man series though it's kinda hard to find unless you know what exactly he worked on.

iirc, he did character design for most of the Disney-licensed projects, though those games in particular tend to not credit anyone. I had to dig around manuals and find designs he clearly drew mixed in with promo art Disney provided.

He also did art for Kamen No Ninja Hanamaru, the original Japanese version of Yo! Noid. I really wish he'd stick to working as a art & character designer. I'd love to see him continue that but it seems he's given that up for bigger ambitions, even if most of them blew up in his face...

Bengus' work on mvc2 is amazing to me, his depictions of some characters are some of my favorite depictions of them. These interpretations of megaman and roll are I feel the best to date.

Inafune is a hack as a designer and producer but he is a pretty good artist. I really love his work on the nes megaman game a lot. He originally did art for breath of fire and it looks pretty bizarre in his style.
