>he plays the NES port of Maniac Mansion
>he cares about what others do
Hey man, you like point and click adventures, and I'm not making a thread greentexting it.
>not playing the famicom version instead
>>4119929
NES port of MM is fantastic, you cum slurping redditor
>>4120000
And miss out on the awesome soundtrack?
Literally tuna heads: the thread
>>4120038
This, /thread.
Also, anyone playing the final released NES version is a loser. Uncensored prototype or go home.
>>4120410
Sucks that ScummVM doesn't want to support that version anymore though.
>>4120430
Better off using an NES emulator for it anyways.
>>4120451
>playing a point and click game with a gamepad
>>4119929
has SCUMM ever been topped ?
>>4120410
Hell yeah, roast that hamster.
>>4120451
No. Emulators are for losers.
>>4121097
>"emus are for losers!"
>plays through scumm emulator
You would know.
>>4121105
I have Maniac Mansion on NES. I don't use any emulator. At all.
>>4121107
Then you aren't playing the uncensored prototype we were originally discussing, you mouth-breather.
>>4121093
You can roast the hamster in the released version
>>4119936
Who's the nerd girl?
>>4121176
Do you see a large tasteful nude(but not showing anything) statue in the hallway after the secure door? Do you see a pin-up poster of a mummy in the hallway with the Hunk-o-matic? If you said no, you aren't playing the uncensored prototype.
The hamster thing made it into the first batch of released Maniac Mansion carts, I owned that version. Nintendo caught it and then the 2nd print onwards had that ability removed.
>>4120474
Maniac Mansion was designed to use a joystick.
>>4121105
ScummVM is not an emulator dummy.
>>4121337
Out of necessity, the C64 version for example was usually played with a joystick. I'm pretty sure it still supported a mouse if you had one though. The Amiga and Atari ST versions however were always played with a mouse because that was standard for those computers.
The music of the NES version is amazing.
>>4119929
>Tried playing the PC version.
>Realized there's no CD players.
>Uninstalled.
>>4124276
Who the fuck told you to play the PC version? Play the Amiga version for fucks sake. There's ScummVM.
>>4124338
>>4124329
No one told me to play it, I just found it in a pack of old DOS games I'd downloaded. This was like 2 or 3 years ago as well.
