>The trick is ignoring the vocal minority
Well, it's not just a vocal minority anymore. Some of these people, like this woman at Telltale who thanks someone on Twitter for clarifying that a job posting at Telltale is only for female applicants:

And this isn't just a one-off instance. I was at GDC this past year, and so many panels tried to shoehorn in random social justice topics, even panels that were ostensibly just about art or animation or whatever, so a lot of people in the industry are really active about defending feminism and social justice. So if you publish the wrong things or become associated with the wrong kind of views, these people can hurt your chances of getting future jobs in the industry (whether you're on the development or the journalism side). Which in turn weeds out the kind of people who want to make politically incorrect content in the first place, thus making it harder to "get away with".

It would be pointless today because there's already been a fair number of mainstream games with nudity in them. Off the top of my head there's God of War, GTA4 and 5, Mafia 2, and the Splatterhouse reboot.

I think that's a Godzilla reference.
Plus, most yanks are still "proud" of them dropping the nukes, they still believe in the narrative that says there was no other option and that it was a necessary evil to end the war and all that shit, despite war never really ending and nuclear paranoia getting worse after WWII.

Artsy creative people and game designers are not the general public, Anon.
>>4120291
But the artsy creative people and game designers decide what kind of games (and games journalism) get made. Game development is a community effort, it doesn't matter what the "general public" wants if you can't get anyone with skills and connections to work with you.
I don't want to turn this thread into a political argument, I just want to look at fun examples of politically incorrect things from gaming's past.

Let's not forget Witcher which is a billion dollar AAA game that has titties everywhere and lets you choose to be a total woman juggling manwhore.
>>4119392
>EGM staff were Beck fans
Noice.
>>4119396
This game's gonna be hotter than Nagasaki after we dropped the A-bomb on it!
Not exactly politically incorrect, just another weird funny thing from EGM.

That was from the Viz adult comic (and drawn by the Viz artists themselves). The only people who would have seen these ads were students and young adults that like cartoons about sex and bodily functions.
>>4119396
This would be infinitely better if the twin towers were in the shot.
>>4119390
What's wrong with that? It's obviously referring to how warcraft players regularly see their man boobs when they fish a stray cheeto out of their naval.

>batteries not included
If only they knew

I remember GameShark having some crazy ads when I was a kid in the mid to late 90's.

"Fuck it, nobody reads these things."
Fucking love 'tude threads

That is the dumbest thing I have ever seen. I'm kind of ashamed to admit it but... I'm literally triggered.

>we should of just let china or russia install communism in japan
fag alert

Then there would never be any weeabos or 4chan, the world would effectively be a better place.

Without a show of force of nuclear devastation there probably would've been a smaller threshold to use nuclear weapons.
Obligatory

I used to have like five identical white t shirts with another piece of that Conker terrible line art on them. Every single one stolen by girls.

Normal fags with girlfriends play on consoles anon
>>4130089
Not back then they didn't. Consoles were universally regarded as either children's toys or instruments of Satan. Never a healthy pastime.
