Fuck this stage so hard.
It's fine.
the only hard part about megaman 3 is doc robot
and that's only because i can never remember the boss weaknesses in 3...
after 1 and 2 they stopped making much sense
>>4119283
yeah how the fuck am I supposed to know what Top Man is weak to?
>>4119249
I find MegaMan 4 had the hardest levels desu
I hate how all Megaman games after 2 had levels in between the robot master and dr wily levels. Just padding bullshit
What's wrong with Gemini Man's stage?
>>4119289
Why would you need Top Man's weakness? That robot master screams "please kill me first"
>>4119295
>more content: stages, bosses, music, story
>padding
Okay...
>>4119249
When you have to cross these things but with the enemies in the way. It's not hard but it stresses me out every time.
>>4119249
I always thought that Gemini Man's stage was one of the easiest. Hell, you don't even fight Proto Man.
>>4119717
- Has mystery capsules which make progression and decisionmaking a crapshoot
- very noticeable lag progressing through the water portion with the fish and dragonfly spawns
- the single stage that seems to justify Rush Marine
- cutting through the eggs is boring
and so on
>>4119723
Use rush
>>4119723
Magnet missile will destroy the screws for you
>>4119249
Eh, the last part is a little bit hard with those fuckos that knock you into the water but it's fine otherwise. I played it the other day and I run into the dissapearing Gemini Man glitch. That sure left me stumped. What the fuck even.
>>4122218
Gotta love Ariga's mangas
>>4122224
You really gotta.
I'm so glad Mega Man received such a quality side material adaptation. Hitoshi's a treasure, man's been working on the industry for so long, I'm always excited to see his work.
Shadow man was always my struggle
>>4122018
Too bad I do that stage first and don't have them
>>4122486
You do Spark Man first?
what the fuck
>>4120536
You disgust me. You probably use item 2 on heatman's stage too.
>>4119295
Megaman 4 levels weren't that hard, it was the Robot Masters that were bullshit.
What's y'all's favorite classic Megaman game? I played through 1-4 recently. Are 5-10 any good?
>>4123241
2 is the closest to being flawless, but it's a little on the easy side.
>>4123303
Also the booby trap shooter boss sucks ass. Good luck grinding Crash Bomber if you die on that boss.
>>4123241
5 to 10 are all good. 5 and 6 are easier, 5 is probably the worst, but the worst MM game is still a good game.
7 needs a little getting used to to like it.
8 is great, a little easy but the style makes up for it.
you won't have any problem with 9 and 10 if you've played 1-4.
Don't forget to play Mega Man & Bass between 8 and 9. Play the Jap SNES version with a fan translation.
>>4119289
Bottom Man?
>>4123241
5 is pretty poor, 6 did a lot of unique things which make it one of the more standout NES titles.
7 feels like Megaman meets Demon Crest, more of an emphasis on item searching and level secrets than other games in the series.
8 has loads of work put into the wrong area, started the trend of only having 6 levels of normal gameplay that the X series grew attached to.
9 is incredible, to the point where I'd say it's GOTY 2008. Executes a lot of things better than the NES games.
10 is an ambitious followup to 9 but falls short in some places. Still worth playing.
>>4124265
MM9 is the best. Every single step you make in that game is masterfully crafted.
MM10 is great too, but they tried to make it more challenging, in a way that hinders gameplay flow. In comparison, MM9 had an amazing flow, and once you know the game, the flow between "running" and "stopping to shoot" is just perfect, while in 10, I feel like you have to stop all the time and the flow just isn't as good.
Or maybe it's just I haven't learnt 10 as much as I did 9...
>>4119295
Megaman 4 is easily the easiest (heh). Very dissapointing.
>>4126107
5 and 6 are much easier than 4.
>>4128930
Don't know, I got all the volumes of the re-releases here.
I think the re-release was only in Japan in France. It improved on the art and I think a couple of stories after a few more pages.
However you should be able to find the first release on amazon in English.
The first story is only "okay" but once that mandatory MM1 retelling has been through, the rest is great.
The fun fact is that Ariga's mangas were meant to be sidestories since there was already someone else making the "main MM Mangas", but with time everyone came to realize Ariga's were the best and the others never made it out of Japan.
>>4128930
I bought the Udon translation, I don't think it is online. Get them, Megamix's wonderful if you love the Blue Bomber.
>>4129016
>France getting so much cool manga
FUCK I hate you guys. I could have asked my family to get me some of these last time they visited Paris some months ago. Seems I'll have to import these like I did with King Gainer.
>>4123241
Out of the nes games? I always liked 2, 3 and 6 the most
>>4119249
Easy peasy, aside from faggy Doc Manyou are now hearing Gemini Man's stage
>>4129069
The entire Star Barrier part (when Wily tells his plans and when it's used for real) was so hilarious.
All the little things really shows that Ariga "gets" MM, like the jokes about the little things we all thought of when playing. The Archie Comics have some things like that, too (pic related, Auto and Eddie in the last pannel), but Ariga's mangas are just better in every single aspect.
>>4131213
Actually, I'd say Archie has a lot more of that. Everything's a reference or a nod, to an in-game weakness, a future game, features like not being able to slide in 9 and 10. Think of when Bomb and Rock clear the MM2 security room. It's really neat and it shows the people involved really gave a shit about the games.
On the other hand, what I think makes Megamix so good is what wasn't in the games. So many characters expanded and made charismatic, so many kickass, humorous and even tragic storylines. What he did to Star and the others, Ring, Shade and Shadow or small stuff like the Dark Men being bumbling morons and Freeze being an Ice fanboy. It's got little to do with the games but it gives some depth to those cool designs, while Hitoshi also arguably improving them visually. Megamix is amazing.
And speaking of nice things happening to Megaman, Archie was not as good I guess but fuck me, I'd defend it to death. It was a miracle in the first place. It happened at such an oportune time. It covered and expanded the games, the new characters weren't obnoxious(everybody seems to hate Xander but I haven't read anything beyond the 8th Trade Paperback), the new stuff it added was actually really worthwile... There's so many moments I remember. When the Light numbers storm Wily's castle, Roll Splash and Tempo managing the shipwreck, the blackout, the fact that they snuck in a Brand New way reference (pic related). I know the art wasn't always the best and it dragged down at times but it didn't deserve to die like that. Fuck, it even introduced Megaman to a younger audience. Actual kids sent Megaman drawings to an official Megaman comic. Almost in the current year. Isn't that insane?
But yeah fuck Archie.
>>4119249
best music in the game.
Fuck this guy. It's too tall so whenever you want to jump over him, you end up taking damage.
I've died more times against Doc Robot than any other enemy in the franchise.
I don't like 9 because it's too hard. 10 would also be too hard but you can play as Bass to make it less hard.
Where does this game typically get ranked by megaman fans? I used to play the GBA port but would always get fucking annihilated, was only able to beat iceman. Heard it the most if not one the more difficult games, I always liked it because bass is badass and the music was really good. Now that I have a super famicom I might get it and try actually getting through it.
