Gameboy version gives Mario a completely new moveset including the triple jump, side flip, and a hand stand to repel falling objects, plus it adds like 94 new levels. It's a solid 9/10 puzzle platformer.

It's a real shame that they only made one successor to that game and then it turned into a shitty lemmings clone.

I didn't think much of it when it came out but I had fun beating it the first time in like 2005 when I got it in Animal Crossing. Didn't need no walkthrough or anything... but I wish I was smart enough to draw dungeon maps back then.

I started liking it more and more upon subsequent playthroughs, and now I think it's my favorite 2D Zelda and my second overall. I've beaten the 1st quest without dying twice, but only this year did I ever finish the 2nd quest, and I also did a randomized run.

I get that it's not everyone's cup of tea though.

The moves for the different beast forms are cool. I wish it would've gotten a System 32 sequel like Golden Axe did.
