I'm amazed at how great Yoshi's Island is today. Back then upon release I dismissed it as just a Mario game cutesified to appeal to very young children but in hindsight it's a lot of fun with some great level design.

How so?? I genuinely like all these games. they're fun, they're appealing, and they're great. Was it because I didn't have any nintendo games? I'm sorry but aside from Super Mario World, Zelda 1, and the kirby games I'm not too into a lot of their games, that's not to say they're bad, just not for me.
