You have good taste anon. I adore X1 for what it introduced to the series but X2 is the superior game. The biggest problem a lot of people have with it is that it actually tried to have a story line in the game itself which killed a lot of the "pacing". X1's story was told via the manual and the ending cutscenes of the game. X2's was told via the manual AND the entire game. I loved the X-Hunters, even if it felt like a waste of time to some, who can fucking complain about MORE bosses to fight. That's fucking awesome. My order would be X2>X1>X3>X4>X8>X5>>>X6>>>>>>>>>>>>X7

Seriously? X5 and X6 were total fucking messes. I'm all for exposition in our games...but fucking christ. Not only were the stories a shit-show, you couldn't skip dick in X5 and it was RNG based. That means it was fucking retarded. X6's Zero and Nightmare mechanics were broken as fuck and the stage design was just god-awful. The only redeeming factors of both of these games were the OST's which were pretty fucking good.

This is what I'm talking about. That patch sounds AMAZING and could easily change my opinion of the game as a whole. No more Alia BS unless you want to press select at some point sounds great.

A more "clean" sentence would be "I went into hiding while trying to repair myself".

Also by then, Zero was just a torso with a huge gaping hole in his chest, so how the hell he could go into hiding, and even repair himself, was a complete mystery. The phrase doesn't explain anything.
