I think Delta Force 1 & 2 just barely qualifies as retro with a mission editor.

I used to love two old DOS games, one was The Punisher and another was an X-Men game that you had to send away for level editors for both. The Punisher one was cool.
>>
I'm not sure if it counts since it was a separate release, but Rayman Designer was the most fun I've ever had with a level editor

Failing that, DOS Jetpack

>old DOS games

Ever play ZZT? Best level editor ever.

It's my favorite, too. Pic related looked cool, but it was just a tad too hard to control and make levels for for its own good.

>Dummy level saving feature

You mean it has a saving feature that doesn't work? Excitebike is usually like that. The save feature is intended to work with a tape recorder peripheral for the Famicom.
>>
>>4076218
>>4076221
>Kamiya was born in 1970 in Matsumoto in Nagano Prefecture. At a young age he was already a fan of video games thanks to a neighbour who often invited him to play with his Epoch Cassette Vision console. Gaming appealed to Kamiya mainly due to the sounds it produced. During his early years of junior school he got his own first console, Nintendo's Famicom. The first game he bought was Nuts & Milk.[3]
