You mean what controller?

OP means GUI interfaces for emus that usually are command-prompt only

O-oh. Retroarch then. It's OK when it works.

RetroArch is great when you fiddle with it for a while and have every little thing configured to your heart's content. After a few years I have no inclination to switch.
RGUI is the only good though, I don't know what they're doing with that blue thing.

I dont. Most good emulators support drag and drop or have a built in file browser.

Would New Retro Arcade: Neon be considered a "frontend"?
I've been playing arcade games on that with my Vive a lot recently.

Most standalone emulators have terrible windows guis and don't even let you do basic shit like setting your aspect ratio in full screen.
Standalones are fine if you wanna play a couple of games, sure, but above that you need some common interface to fix the crap.

I use Launchbox. I don't bother with big box, because I do all my gaming on PC. It works really well. The scraper gets art easily for almost every game, setting up emulators takes less than 2 minutes with their wizard. It also comes with an installer for DOSBox that makes installing DOS games easy. If you're autistic like me and want Japanese art for your gaems, the metadata editor works as well as most big music player applications.
