Interstate 76 was such a weird experience to me as a kid because I had no idea it was a homage/parody to 70s action movies/shows. I thought it was just a strange desert car game with funky music.

In terms of playability, TM2 is clunky as fuck and the only reason why people love it is because you already loved it. Objectively speaking the controls in the new TM is a lot smoother and more playable, but suffers from a lot of game design issues (we all know what they are). Something like TM Head-On is a balance between classic TM and modern playability.
