Yeah sorry I mis-read OP's question.

But in general all arcade ports had inferior graphics and sound. The Genesis G'nG gameplay can stand beside its arcade counterpart though imo.

Yeah, MD Chelnov is more challenging. You can't spam shots in the MD version like in the arcade. The in-game rapidfire is nowhere near as fast as what you can do in the arcade. Also the yo-yo weapon is much weaker in the MD version.

Not Genesis, but I legit think the NES versions of Contra, Shinobi and Ninja Gaiden are 100 times better than the arcade games

Grew up with NES Shinobi and always liked how it played. The Arcade version felt off and weird.

I'm not saying this out of nostalgia because I like the Double Dragon arcade version just as much, if not more than the NES version

Rolling Thunder 2 and Chelnov are some really good ports. Rolling Thunder 2 isn't as pretty as the arcade but the added levels + 2nd loop addition were awesome
