You're doing it wrong. There is 1 last guardian who wields it. If you exit the room you'll be in the keep. But you can just turn around and go back in. If using emu, save skum right before you press O. Mucho fastero .

it's not even required, you get most of what you need from chests
not to mention raging ache, phantom pain, elemental break arts + gems + fusion spells turn the game into a joke
as far as wepons and equipment in general go type (blunt, edged, piercing) > affinity >>>>>> class in terms of importance
