How are the Albert Odyssey series? I heard the SNES titles were tactics rpgs.
Saturn game was a Working Designs title, expect a lot of bitching.
are they worth getting into?
The main series were turned based tactical games. Albert Odyssey Gaiden for the SuFami was a traditional RPG.
Gaiden was later remade for Saturn and released here by Working Designs as Albert Odyssey. My cousin bought this game thinking it would be similar to Lunar because of the box art but he was quite disappointed. Albert was average in every way.
The one for the Saturn is pretty average, but worth a playthrough if you like rpgs. Don't expect anything ground breaking though, and keep in mind that the Working Designs localization WILL overstay its welcome
Such a short lived series, completely forgettable.

The saturn one is godawful. It has really bad writing/story/characters/voice acting.

Life is too short to waste it on mediocre games.
I've only played the Saturn one. It's a good entry RPG for those that want to try the genre.

This is true but so do 90% of video games.
It has nice music and a comfy aesthetic . The worst thing about it was the fucking 5 second load time for the battles. It's very average, but worth checking out if you want another RPG to play on the Saturn after PDS and you can't read Japanese.

Tell that to everyone else on /vr/.
