I never had either back in the day. I grew out of my racing game phase in the SNES era. I did like the original Mario Kart, though.

The items and character design in Diddy Kong Racing suck compared to Mario Kart, but the adventure gameplay and levels in DKR set it over the top for me.

easy answer, mario kart for multiplayer, dkr for single player

I was more of a single player kid, still am, so I heavily preferred Diddy Kong Racing.

Mario Kart always gets boring to me after one or two days playing.

Diddy Kong Racing is so much better than Mario Kart 64 it's not even a contest.

I played a lot of both, but the fondest memories for me are with Mario Kart.

CTR is so slow and repetitive, also suffers a lot from bad camera.

DKR is the best IMO because of the adventure mode and the usual rare collectible shit. I started to like MK64 after i saw some speedrunners pull some amazing tricks.

Beetle Adventure Racing was fine too.
