all me, all same person, except op and>>4046247
. These are all games that i have connected with in a well above average way. They assuredly fueled my Playstation obsession and were some of the first ones to get me psyched on collecting for the console during my college days.
>>
>>4046159
That was my first game.

never knew croc was on pc. that sounds splendid.

Several Disney platformer/adventure games, such as Hercules, Toy Story 2 and Tarzan.
>>
Gex
>>
>>4046159
But both Medievil are amazing games anon.

Ghost in the Shell. It's pathetically easy outside of the final level, gameplay is very simple, and it's a short game. That being said, you get to run around in a Tachikoma and climb around walls and ceilings and it's pretty fun for what it is.

Warhawk. One of the launch titles, it's a game where you fly a warplane that handles like an improved Harrier. Decent selection of weapons to use, and cheese-tastic FMV. But it's kinda short and the final boss can only be beaten by knowing the trick. Well known for multiple bad endings that can be gotten depending on where you were and how you die.

Herc's Adventures. Overhead view beat-em-up with an inventory and a very large free-roam world, pick from one of three characters each with their own unique reusable special attack. Can also be played co-op. If you die, you fight your way out of Hades and continue on(a limited number of times). Unfortunately, the gameplay is somewhat janky and hit detection can be a bit off. There's many places where the game doesn't even attempt to play fair, and you can't save your progress even though it's a looong game. Best played with a friend.

Not great games, but at least worth trying.

GITS is one of my favorite PS1 games, for me its top 10 on the console, definitely recommended, to anyone who likes GITS or not, it's a great game on its own.
Also every time I read people say it's too easy, I wonder if they were able to beat the game on their first try or something. The first time I played the game, I got wrecked as soon as the 2nd boss.
It's not that hard once you get used to the controls and how to dash the Fuchikoma in different directions though, but it feels satisfying rather than too easy, at least for me.
More levels/lenght would have been nice, but I like it's arcade approach and trying to surpass my high scores (either on main game or the training mode)
>>
>>4047302
ghost in the shell used to be relatively cheap in 2012... like $20 bucks. Then the movie came out and I don't know what the fuck happened to the pricing. thats the cheapest I've seen in a while (see pic) and 60 aint exactly cheap. most postings for for 85. honestly it was one of the prices jumps i just didn't see coming.
>>
>>4047315
Not my first try, but I did get all the way to the last level with very little issues at all. I personally felt trying to get a high score on the training simulator was far more difficult than most of the game. I love the game, but it's painfully easy for the most part.
>>
>>4047068
They were my favs games of PSX. I'm scared of going back 17 years later.
>>
>>4047053
Hope you mean the first. 2 and 3 are pretty shitty.

>>4047382
I picked up a jap copy for like 10 bucks a couple years back

>>
>>4048902
Aren't the saga games terrible?
>>
If anyone owns a PSP GO, they're probably the best way to play PS1 games! Even with the shitty Ali Express component cables the games look crazy and run beautifully in full screen (PSP Games on the other hand look like ass and aren't full screen).
You can connect a PS3 Controller via Bluetooth and game on.
Most here probably know this but the PS3 can run PS1 discs and they also look hella good.

>>
>>4047714
I finished them both for the 666th time about a month ago. They're both still amazing.
>>
>>4049065
Depends on what you want from an RPG. The SaGa games have very.... particular mechanics, so people tend to either love them to death or think they're unplayable garbage.

Obviously

last time i checked, like last week, the lowest for the NTSC U version was 149.99

One of the best games on the system. Short, but sweet with a wicked good soundtrack. And yeah the current prices certainly have to do with the live-action movie.
>>
>>4049453
this game was an absolute masterpiece until they kicked you out onto the world map for the first time.

When it was a super-linear action thriller it was significantly more fun for me. There wasn't exactly much going on in the world map anyway and it just killed the pacing.

Well, the first one is. The second kind of fucked itself by making it so that health fountains don't regen after you leave the level.

The less said about Resurrection (aside from its soundtrack), the better.

My local rental store had that game for years but I always had to share with my brother who never wanted it. By the time I finally got to rent it the damn disc was so scratched it crashed five seconds into the first stage. To this day I still haven't gotten to play it.

I don't think the problem was with the world map, just that Kalm town's flashback was immediately after the rush that all of Midgar was. If there's any part in the game where things basically hit a brick wall, it was there.

I can't really say how to handle it better though, it's a very important part of the story and excluding it would do a lot of harm, but something needed to be done about the slog through it. Perhaps breaking it up and putting certain scenes into earlier parts of the game (For example, Cloud talking to his mother, the discovery at the mansion, etc) would've worked ok.
